The Viking Hall has been hosting family and community events for many decades. Viking Hall specializes in being available for weddings, receptions, birthdays, reunions, memorials and all special occasions.
Please note that the rental service is provided by the all-volunteer Silvana Community Association (SCA). We have no paid staff. We have a very small membership and all members donate their time to help with rentals. We ask for your patience and courtesy while working with our volunteers and also ask that you understand if your email or phone message is not immediately returned. Thank you!
The following describes our facility and your responsibilities as a renter to aid you in planning your special event. If you have questions, please call the rental line (360-631-9050) and leave detailed contact information and dates you are interested in renting the hall...we will return your call as soon as possible.
Occupancy: Not to exceed 300 persons. Rental includes use of tables, chairs, stage, dance floor, kitchen, dishes and coffee pots.
Security: A security team will be required for rentals serving alcohol. Security will be arranged by SCA and will be paid for by the renters. Renters are encouraged to obtain their own insurance as the neither SCA nor the Viking Hall is responsible for your event attendees. Damage to local community buildings and grounds is the responsibility of the renter.
Rental Fees: Rent - $1500.00 plus a Cleaning/Damage Deposit of $1500.00
Security Fees: Security officer detail provided at the rate of $430.00 for 4 hours minimum (8:30 PM to 12:30 AM). Earlier security time subject to vary per event at $100.00 per hour minimum and must be pre-arranged.
Alcohol: If there will be any alcohol consumed at the event, you must get a banquet permit from the WA State Liquor Control Board, get one from: http://liq.wa.gov/licensing/banquet-permits. Permit copy must be displayed at Viking Hall during your event in order to serve alcoholic beverages.
Rental Period: Rentals are for a maximum twelve (12) hour period of time, including set-up and clean up, not to extend beyond 1:00 AM. Additional hours for set-up prior to event will be charged at $100.00 for each two (2) hour period or part thereof, based on availability. Extended hours are not approved and will be charged at $100.00 per hour or part thereof, plus security charge if applicable at an additional $100.00 per hour.
Rental Deposit and Damage/Cleaning Deposit: A deposit of $100.00 will hold your rental date and will be applied to the rental fees. A refundable damage/cleaning deposit and balance of full rental payment must be made sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled event. Only the damage/cleaning deposit will be refunded if event is canceled after that date. Refund of the Damage/Cleaning deposit will be made within 14 days after the event or cancellation. Cash is preferred, NSF check fee is $40.00. Damage costs plus contractor billed labor will be deducted. Other clean-up labor required inside or outside will be deducted at the rate of $60.00 per hour for cleaning.
Note: Recent Quinceanera events have resulted in the need to raise both the rental rate and the damage deposit. Please do not request a rental if you are not committed to being a responsible renter. Continued bad behavior by Quinceanera renters will result in Quinceanera events no longer being allowed at the Viking Hall.
Pricing is subject to change based on economic conditions with written notice by Silvana Community Association.
